Marlee Resources required a complete wear package designed around the geometry of an existing mining bucket, rather than a standard component-only supply, ahead of operation in the Western Australian Goldfields. Mining Wear Parts (MWP) scanned the bucket internals, engineered the internal wear configuration and designed the individual components to fit, producing a coordinated package of internal cheek plates, rolled-back wear sections, Ground Engaging Tools (GET) and associated wear components.
The completed package was manufactured and supplied ready for installation, which was carried out by a third-party welding provider engaged by the customer. The bucket is now being prepared for deployment to a mining operation in the Goldfields, demonstrating MWP’s ability to combine site scanning, engineering, design and wear product supply into one integrated solution.
